I will be sad to see it finish I was really enjoying this drama. Normally I'm not a fan of historical dramas but this drama was an exception. I think I might be because Lee Seung Gi is one of my favorite actors and I've liked every drama hes been in but I was also impressed with Suzy's acting in the drama. When I was watching I would forget she was an idol.

The drama had romance, action and comedy which will suit all Kdrama fans and it is definitely one to watch.

Missing You (I Miss You) [Drama Review]

It's been months since I've been hooked onto a drama. I started this new drama, Missing You (I Miss You) last night and I have already watched all 4 episodes in the space of 24 hours. Must be a good one? The storyline got me hooked straight away and I am already in suspense. It has only just started, so unlucky for me but I'm going to have to wait every week now!

It's not that lovey dovey, but there is a very cute romance/friendship in the drama. I have already fallen in love with the characters and want to see what else the drama has in store! So for anyone looking for a good drama to watch, this may be worth a try?

The first 4 episodes were really good and interesting, I'm hoping the rest of the drama doesn't disappoint!

P.S. And Yoochun is going to be in the drama, for all JYJ lovers out there!

My Girl (마이걸) [Drama Review]

Usually I tend to watch the latest dramas so I decided to watch an old school drama My Girl instead. OK, so My Girl (마이걸) aired in 2005 and it might not seem very 'old school' but after seeing their fashion sense in their drama, it definitely earns the 'old school' title.

The lead actess in this drama is Lee Da-hae (이다해) plays the role of Yoo-rin, a compulsive liar who finds herself pretending to be the long-lost cousin of Gong-chan, played by Lee Dong-wook (이동욱) in hopes of helping his grandfather recover from a terrible illness. Yorin and Gong-chan try their best to keep the lie a secret but it is not an easy lie to keep. But Gong-Chan's ex girlfriend, a professional tennis player Seo-hyun comes back to Korea and wants to get back with him and Gong-chan's cousin Jung Woo, Gong-chan's cousin, starts to like Yoo-rin which just makes the whole situation more complicated.

How will Yoo-rin and Gong-chan handle it? And what will happen as they begin to develop feelings for each other but have to act like cousins?

I won't spoil the drama for you but I'll tell you what I liked and disliked about the drama.

Liked:

  • It wasn't a typical Korean drama storyline. Yes, the lead guy is a über rich guy. But the general story line where they pretend to be cousins is different to other Korean dramas I've watched which is what I loved about the drama.
  • The random busts of comical scenes
  • Lee Dong-wook ;)

Didn't like:

  • Yoo-rin's excessive lying. There were points of the drama that I was just shouting 'just stop lying!' But that might just mean Lee Da-hae's acting is great and she plays the role really well.
Rating: 8.5/10

I'd definitely recommend this drama.

The Equator Man (적도의 남자) [Drama Review]

Offical Poster for 'The Equator Man'

When I first heard about this drama, I wasn't too sure if I would like it. I read a few reviews about the drama and thought it sounded pretty interesting so I thought I would give it a chance. After watching the first couple of episodes I got totally hooked. In 2 days I watched 8 episodes and was dying to watch the rest but they had not been aired yet.

I really enjoyed Eom Tae-Woong's (엄태웅) acting. He has the ability to adapt to roles quickly and makes the character realistic. I have watched his drama Dr Champ and really liked his acting in that drama so I was expecting the same with this drama. Eom Tae-woongs's plays the character Kim Su-Woo who tries to find justice for the brutal murder of his father. While trying to find out the culprit Su-Woo comes across some unfortunate events in which his becomes blind.

Eom Tae-Woong's new character gives you an insight into his struggle to find justice for his fathers murder while trying to deal with losing his sight. He has to overcome a lot of obstacles and learn new skills to reach his goal.

Other characters in the drama include Lee Bo-Yeong (이보영) who plays Su-Woo's first love, Lee Joon-Hyeok (이준혁) who plays Su-Woo's best friend and Lim Jeong-Eun (임정은) as Su-Woo's childhood friend.

The drama is getting lots of praises from its viewers which has lead to the extension of the drama so now there will be 24 episodes. The Equator man has increased in ratings beating their rival drama The Rooftop Prince. Episode 13 was aired on the 2nd of May 2012.

Let us know what you think of the drama and be sure to check out what we think of the drama as a whole once all the episodes have been aired.

Korean Drama Review: Bad Guy (나쁜 남자)

I can't believe I haven't done a review for one of my FAVOURITE dramas, Bad Guy. I watched this drama nearly 2 years now, when it was out. I was TOTALLY hooked to this drama. Firstly, it has an actor I really like, Kim Nam Gil as the main, which totally caught my attention. From start to finish, this storyline had me on edge, especially as I had to wait a week for new episodes!
Me and my sister (Tamanna) have got this down as a drama to recommend to ALL Kdrama addicts, so if you haven't see this drama yet, you know what to do!!

Majority of the dramas I tend to watch are usually the "same." Rich guy, "poor" girl, fall in love, but they encounter a few problems in the middle, usually the dramas end happily ever after. This drama does consist of a rich guy and "poor" girl, but the way it all pans out is what I LOVED about it. At first I thought it would be a typical drama for me and I'd know how it would end, but I was wrong. The storyline is really interesting! (For those of you who have watched it, let me know what you thought of the storyline!)

Kim Nam Gil / Shim Gun Wook

I love unpredictable storylines, just as much as I love catchy OSTs. And this drama has both! Still today I play the OST and it still makes me teary eyed everytime I hear it. By far one of the BEST drama OSTs yet! (I just had to play some of the songs while writing this review and I was right, I am still in love with basically every song!!)
For me, a good drama is not just the storyline, but the perfect music can either do it justice or the opposite!

You know how much I LOVE this drama, for those of you who still have not watched the drama...You know what to do and let me know what you think and if you are in love with this drama as much as me!

Korean Drama Review: The Moon Embraces The Sun (해를 품은 달)

My first historical drama and I LOVED it! I was recommended to watch this drama by my sister because she really liked it, I wasn't too keen when I found out it was a historical drama at first. Once I got the hang of the story line, I really enjoyed it. Now I've watched the whole drama, I wish it was longer. I think this is the start of Korean historical dramas for me. I'm usually into my romantic, lovey dovey, modern dramas but this was a bit of a change. There is romance in the drama, but the other elements in the drama are very interesting and the storyline is captivating!
The drama started off with younger actors, then after a couple of episodes they had older actors to show...8 years later. At first this was confusing but once I got use to the actors, I totally hooked again!
If you haven't watched the drama, I recommend it! It's really made me want to watch more historical dramas now. If you have any recommendations for me, do leave a comment below and let me know!

Korean drama: You've Fallen For Me/Heartstrings

I am having a total d-addict phase right now. I've started another drama, You've Fallen For Me/Heartstrings. This drama is more cutesy and a more playful drama compared to Poisedon. I've only watched the first episode so far but I already get the storyline and I'm already hooked. The lead actor/actress are C.N.BLUE, Yonghwa and Park Shin Hye. They were both in You're Beautiful and I fell in love with their characters. I love the fact that they can both act well as well as sing. This is a "musical" drama and I have a feeling I will love the OST.

C.N.BLUE, Yonghwa / Lee Shin

Park Shin Hye / Lee Gyu Won
C.N.BLUE, Minhyuk is also in the drama. His character is so adorable.

C.N.BLUE, Minhyuk / Yeo Joon Hee
If you're looking to watch a new drama, something lovey dovey, playful and funny. I think this drama might be the one. I will keep reviewing as I go along, but for now, the first episode has drawn me in.

And if you HAVEN'T watched You're Beautiful, it's a MUST! Both Yonghwa and Park Shin Hye are in the drama, as well as, Jang Geun Suk and Lee Hongki.

Korean drama: Poseidon

FINALLY I have gotten around to watching Poseidon. I've been waiting for this drama since I finished watching Athena: Goddess of War. Although they have some similaritites and differences, I love them both because they are action packed. I have already watched IRIS and Athena and Poseidon is along the same genre to me.

The first episode was a little bit confusing, but I guess most first episodes are like that as they are trying to tell you the story so it's quite hard to get your head around what is going on. But after watching episode 2 and 3, I'm getting into it more.

For all you, ELFs and Cassies, there's some eye candy in it for you. Super Junior, Siwon and DBSK, Yunho. I've seen Siwon's acting in Athena and I was totally drawn in by it and I know this drama will be the same. I've already grown to love his character in this drama. I haven't seen much of Yunho's acting, so this will be interesting for me and he hasn't appeared in the first 3 episodes as much as Siwon so I am waiting to see more from him.

Siwon / Gim Seun U

Yunho / Kang Eun Chul

If you love your action-packed dramas (with a bit of romance) then I think you'll like this drama. So far I am on episode 4, so I still have more reviews to write, hopefully I won't be spoiling much for those who are planning to watch this drama soon!

For those of you who still HAVEN'T watched IRIS and Athena and love your action-packed dramas, it is a MUST WATCH! I have them down as 2 of my favourite Korean dramas!
